Wedded Bliss - 4/17/2018

Meet Toni and Steven!  We met them today and they blessed the socks off the entire Pillow Project team.  They were taking a walk; they don't normally walk by where we were at Lake Dot, but did so today.  (Nothing happens by accident!)

So what is their story?  They met by chance (not really) during hurricane Irma.  They are both vets, and both disabled.  Long story short, they fell in love and God told Steven to marry Toni. Steven says to God, "But God I don't have any money."  And God tells him, "I didn't ask you what you have, I told you what to do."

So, a whole body of believers from a local church put together a wedding for this penniless couple, (trying to get their feet on the ground) right down to the wedding dress, flowers, ceremony, food, AND a hotel room for their wedding night.

Currently, Toni lives at the Salvation Army, and Steven lives on the streets. When Toni mentioned that she wanted to enter a cooking school, to the cost of $35, we did something we never do on the streets...gave them the money!  Sometimes you never know when and how God is going to take care of you.  And what happened after that?  They both unashamedly cried in grateful attitude for God's provision.

We always go to the streets to bless others, but God always turns it around and we get the biggest blessing of all.  I'm felling mighty thankful today.

And satisfy the desire of the afflicted,

Then your light will rise in darkness,
And your gloom will bec
