Two Ministries Intersect

Today we met Charles, of Right Fuel for the Glory of God ministry.  As we were hanging out at our regular location, Young's Grocery, a man was standing off to the side watching us.  I finally went over to him and asked him his name.  After telling me his name was Charles, he said to me,  "What you all are doing is just great."  Then he went on to tell me that he has a gas station about 3 blocks from Young's Grocery, and he runs a ministry out of his gas station.

We spoke with him for 15-20 minutes.  Then we decided we would go have a look at his gas station and see what it is all about.  Charles is all about Jesus, and leading the street people to a better life, one that is abundant with Christ.  He took us inside his gas station and showed us where he holds church service every Sunday morning.  It was a sparse room, with no chairs for seating...he told us he rents chairs every Sunday.

We were excited to meet someone who follows through and disciples these people on the streets.  For us, we go to the streets twice a month, and there is not any follow through.  We were feeling frustrated by this.

We are not sure what all this means for The Pillow Project but we are excited to see where God is leading us.

We wil "be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him."  Psalm 37:7

Charles' gas station on Rio Grande in Orlando.  Sometimes he holds outdoor worship services.  Right next door to his gas station, there was another convenience store with blaring loud music.  What does Charles do?  He plays praise music over his loud speaker!

The street people we met today were:

Stanley, Harry, Inez, Tracy, Ernest, lady who works at Young's Grocery, and T.T.

And satisfy the desire of the afflicted,

Then your light will rise in darkness,
And your gloom will bec
