Pillows for Houston

Hurricane Harvey victims lost much when the flood waters ravaged Texas communities. Emergency shelters filled quickly. Most shelters are sparse crowded places with few amenities. The small cots provided have no pillows, unless provided by the occupants. Barbara got in touch with a personal friend

in Houston, who was heading up the disaster relief team at her church, Williams Trace Baptist Church of Sugar Land, TX. Our Pillow Project sewing ladies had just completed pillows a few weeks prior to the devastating storm. 120 pillows were packed, shipped, and delivered to Sugar Land, TX.  We pray the message of hope might have been a blessing of comfort.

"Who comforts us in all our affliction so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."  2nd Corinthians 1:4.

“And if you give yourself to the hungry,

And satisfy the desire of the afflicted,

Then your light will rise in darkness,
And your gloom will bec
ome like midday.”
