Christmas Blessings

The Pillow Project celebrated Christmas in big style today.  A lady from our Lifegroup at church, made 80 bags of cookies (that's right, 80 bags with 7 cookies each!), which we delivered to homeless people on Orange Blossom Trail.  I cannot begin to tell you how excited these people were to receive homemade cookies.  They were in the cutest Christmas bags.  I asked this man if I could take his picture, which he happily obliged, as he snuggled up next to his sack of cookies.

Several weeks ago, we managed to meet up with another ministry called The Powerhouse Church.  It was at a place where we stopped because we saw just one homeless person sitting outside.  It turned out to be a church ministering to many homeless people.  We returned to that location today to deliver the Christmas cookies and other items.  It is a place where they hold church services, and feed these people two times a day, 6 days a week.  In this ministry God has given us, we never know where He will lead, but today He blessed us with the smiles on these sweet people as they were given something so simple as a bag of Christmas cookies.  May God continue to use us as the hands and feet of Jesus.

And satisfy the desire of the afflicted,

Then your light will rise in darkness,
And your gloom will bec
