Each time we go out we never know whom or what we may encounter. God always knows. Young’s Market on Orange Blossom Trail (OBT) location has been our starting place. We see some of the same people, but today we were able to see a lot of new faces. It amazes me how each person has a different story/reason for being out there.
I came across William. William wanted off the streets so badly he asked if we could take him and help him, but that is something we cannot do. It tore me up because I know the feeling of wanting to get out of that lifestyle, yet not knowing how or what to do. It is such a dark, lonely world out there. ALL these people have family but they have burned all ties with their families, they cannot turn to them for help. Their addiction keeps them out there in this vicious circle. They continue to chase the demons of their addiction. Until they receive Jesus into their lives they will continue to run the streets chasing the high of drugs and alcohol
I want to thank all who are involved in this Ministry. Thank you for all the donations you have provided. Food, clothes, money, hygiene articles - all of this matters in order to keep us able to continue this Ministry. We know God will provide our needs for The Pillow Project Ministry.
We began by giving out pillows. God has opened the door for us to expand with other items and we are blessed being able to help the homeless out there. We have built relationships with some out there that know us. They call us “The Pillow Ladies” or “The Church Ladies.” That is awesome!!!
